Contents:
The training ‘Applied magic in the treatment room’ is a professionalization offering that pays explicit attention to the well-being of children in a (para)medical setting. This practice-oriented training teaches healthcare professionals to use magical skills as a technique to reduce stress. This shifts the child’s focus from tension and fear to wonder and fun. The training offers a combination of short theoretical foundation and a lot of practice. The participants can then immediately put the learned magic tricks into practice.

The working methods in this training are suitable for:
Paediatricians, pediatric nurses/MPZs/anaesthetists/doctor’s assistants, child therapists.

The study load:
Ten hours in total. The training can be followed without preparation. The study load consists of six contact hours and four hours of home study. Students are expected to study and put into practice the extensive reader afterwards. A practical assignment is linked to this.

Costs:
The costs are € 295.00* per person for coffee, tea, lunch and teaching materials. Magic4Care is exempt from VAT.

Teaching materials:
In addition to theory, short videos and cases are offered for illustration. During the day, participants will have ample opportunity to practice the specially selected magic tricks from their personalized toolkit. The magic tricks are divided into three categories: I Contact; II Distraction; III Learning
